Privacy

The short version: no cookies, no tracking, and we only see your name or email if you choose to send them to us.

Who we are

Carlow Pubs is run by Craig Kearney, trading as Brewww, in Carlow, Ireland. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

Visiting the site

We count visits with Fathom Analytics. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal information or follow you to other sites. We only see totals, like how many people looked at What’s on today.

We don’t set any cookies, and we don’t use advertising or social media trackers.

Maps

The maps load their streets from OpenFreeMap, using OpenStreetMap data. On older browsers they come from OpenStreetMap’s own servers instead. Either way, those servers see your IP address, as with any website, and don’t set cookies.

Suggest an edit and Add a gig

When you send one of these forms, we get what you typed, plus your name and email if you give them. The form is handled by Formspark, with a spam check from Botpoison. Until that’s switched on, the form opens an email to us instead.

We use what you send only to check and update the guide, and to reply if you asked us to. We don’t share it or add you to any list. We keep it only as long as we need it, and we’ll delete it whenever you ask.

Saving the site to your phone

If you add Carlow Pubs to your home screen, your phone keeps a copy of the pages you’ve opened so they still load without a signal. That copy stays on your phone.

Links to other sites

Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and other sites take you to them, and their own privacy policies apply. We show a note on these links before you leave.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, by emailing [email protected]. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
